A Dutch oven is a versatile workhorse in the kitchen, but what exactly can we use them for? In this hands-on class, we will explore the strengths of this kitchen tool with a variety of recipes. We will make the French classic Coq au Vin (Chicken in Red Wine with Onions, Mushrooms and Bacon), Braised Seasonal Vegetables, a loaf of crusty Artisan-style bread, and finish it off with a Dutch Oven Apple Cake.

    If your Dutch oven is on a back shelf, dust it off! I've used mine several times since I took this class. I especially enjoyed baking bread in a Dutch oven, and I have made a strawberry and apple cobbler since attending the class. If you don't have a dutch oven or want to add a new size to your collection, Abundant Kitchen stocks great choices! I highly recommend this class.
