Join us as we cook recipes making your weekends at the cabin more enjoyable. You'll learn how to have dinners ready ahead of time so you can play with your friends and family. In this hands-on cooking class you will be paired up in groups of 2-4 people to cook a delicious meal that you will eat at the end of class.
We’ll be making:
Sweet and Spicy Ribs - with make-ahead homemade barbeque sauce, you just have to pop them on the grill.
Hunan Noodles - with lots of veg and a lovely peanut sauce.
Oven-fried Picnic Chicken - old fashioned buttermilk soaked chicken, perfect for a picnic or lunch on the pontoon.
Orange-Almond Stuffed French Toast with Strawberry Sauce - put it together before you go to bed, so you can sleep in!
Class price includes generous sampling of everything prepared, printed recipe copy, and a glass of wine, beer, or non-alcoholic beverage.
Class Instructor: Shelagh Mullen
Shelagh has years of relevant experience as a cooking teacher, caterer, event planner as well as food blogger and recipe developer. Owner of SheCooks, a whole-grain baking mix business, Shelagh supplied the Twin Cities area with delicious, healthy and locally-produced/sourced baking mixes. Shelagh earned a 15-week culinary arts certificate from Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Pittsburgh (currently Le Cordon Bleu). Shelagh received a liberal arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Art with a minor in Graphic Design. In fall of 2019, Shelagh will head to Blackrock, Ireland to complete a 3-month culinary certificate program at the Dublin Cookery School.
