4/5/2019 Friday 5:30-8:00 What the Beef!?

Understanding different cuts of beef is something every home cook should master. Techniques vary, as do cuts, so we’ll cover them both in this hands-on class.

We’ll be joined with the Minnesota Beef Council to talk about selecting the best cuts of beef for any budget and clear up any confusion about beef labels and grades. Different cuts lend themselves to different preparations, cooking times and finishes – we’ll teach you how to cook several cuts of beef flawlessly and in rapid fire succession, so you’re sure to walk away confident in your technique for achieving your perfect beef dish every time.

By the end of the class, you will:

  • Be able to identify different cuts of beef and know their flavor and tenderness profiles
  • Know how to tell when meat is cooked exactly to your liking
  • Master a homemade steakhouse sauce
  • Perfect a classic pan sauce

Menu: Flank & Skirt Steak Tacos, Steaks (Filet Mignon, Ribeye, Eye of Round) with Classic Steakhouse Pan Sauce, Bull Bites with Sour Cream Dipping Sauce.

Class price includes generous sampling of everything prepared, one glass of wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage, and printed recipe copy.
