Microgreens have recently emerged as some of the best-loved garnishes in fine dining—though you don’t have to be a Sous-Chef to enjoy the benefits. Tiny as they are, these young plants pack remarkably intense flavors, vibrant colors and are bursting with nutrients. On the store shelves they can cost you up to $30.00 a pound. Our solution: grow your own or partner with a farmer!
Join us and our partner, Carla Mertz, owner and farmer of Iron Shoe Farm in Princeton, for this amazing event. Carla will discuss the benefits of microgreens, explain the growing process, and teach you how to grow your own at home!
All supplies will be provided - trays will be yours to keep.
During class we'll prepare a zesty vinaigrette perfect to dress the freshly grown micro greens.
Class price includes one glass of wine, beer, or non-alcoholic beverage and generous sampling of everything prepared in class.
