About Friendly Neighborhood Guys BBQ: We set out with a vision to bring the Science of Analytics to BBQ. Our Pit, a custom-made smoker fabricated from a reclaimed Teradata data center server rack, is loaded up with IoT sensors, that kicks out the raw data we cook into BBQ Analytics. Big Data and Analytics professionals by day, and on the weekend, BBQ Data Scientists. We’re a Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) competitive BBQ team, that over the years, our back-yard big data tech has helped this all volunteer team bring home some winning hardware in Ribs, Chicken, Turkey, Pork and Brisket. We’re excited to roll out the TeraPit and make some FNG-BBQ.
